Our legal search engine provides an easier, quicker and more systematic access to relevant regulatory ICT conventions and regulations in several languages. It facilitates the work of the developers and IT organizations interested in compliance activities and certification by simplifying their searches and providing them with more systematic results. It also enables the access to relevant regulatory dispositions and guidance from relevant data protection authorities.
In order to initiate a search, you just have to select one or several criteria and click on the button corresponding to the results you wish to obtain.
The search is multidimensional: you can combine any of the following criteria:
- a country, and optionally a second country
- a domain, a topic, or a keyword
- a search text
- a date
- a specific convention or regulation
Through this search, you can access any of the following results:
- the full text of conventions and regulations;
- relevant articles binding any selected country on any selected topic;
- a list of relevant regulations by State party, domain or topic;
- a list of conventions and regulations signed and/or ratified by any selected country;
- the status of signatures and ratifications as well as reservations for any selected convention or regulation;
The search results take into consideration the various relevant parameters, including dates of ratification, signature and entry into force of the conventions and regulations, as well as potential reservations made by a State party. By selecting a country and a topic, you can access in one click the relevant articles of international conventions and regulations binding the selected country on the selected topic.
We also offer a short introduction to privacy and data protection law.

Who manages the search engine?
The legal search engine maintenance is coordinated by the foundation Mandat International in cooperation with other organisations. Mandat International and its partners are collectively referred to as the “Service Provider”.
